Degrees in organization psychology/industrial-organizational psychology at Touro University Worldwide are only available entirely online. The school offers a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. This degree is designed to give students the necessary background to assist businesses and other organizations when addressing the occupational needs of employees. The curriculum gives students the skills to work in occupational settings. It gives them the background to pursue graduate work in industrial-organizational psychology. Because the program is offered entirely online, students are able to pursue a self-paced and flexible learning experience.

Touro University Worldwide Accreditation Details

The WASC Senior College and University Commission has awarded Touro University Worldwide general accreditation for its on-campus programs in Los Angeles as well as its online offerings. Tuoro does not list any accreditation details for its psychology programs but notes that its curriculum aligns with the American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines for learning goals and outcomes.

Touro University Worldwide Application Requirements

Application requirements at Touro University Worldwide are much different than at other institutions of higher learning. Those seeking to enter a bachelor’s degree program must be a high school graduate or have successfully completed the General Educational Development (GED) test. In addition, students can transfer from an accredited college or university if they are in good standing.

Individuals seeking a master’s degree in organizational-institutional psychology must have a bachelor’s degree from another accredited institution with a minimal overall GPA of 2.5. Transfer students from other graduate school programs are also accepted with a minimal GPA of 2.75. If you meet the aforementioned requirements, you can submit an application to the university. Tuoro waives all application fees for prospective students as part of its mission to underserved communities. Applicants must also submit official transcripts from all previously attended institutions. If you have completed coursework outside of the United States, you must have your transcripts translated and evaluated by the Tuoro admissions staff.

The doctoral program has more stringent requirements. Students must have earned a master’s degree and have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.4. You must complete an application and submit official transcripts as described for the master’s program. Two letters of recommendation are required:

  • one familiar with your academic work
  • another one from a professional reference

Applicants must submit a doctoral entrance essay that details the student’s:

  • biography
  • career plan
  • goals

The Doctoral Admissions Committee will evaluate the essay on the following:

  • Motivation, maturity, and creativity
  • Sound personal agenda
  • Awareness of personal strengths and skills requiring development

Tuition and Financial Aid

The online organizational psychology programs at Tuoro University have simple tuition. All courses are charged according to the number of hours you take. Undergraduate courses cost $400 per credit hour. Master’s degree courses are $500 per credit hour and doctoral courses cost $700 per credit hour. Members of the military and their immediate family members get a discount on tuition that amounts to fees of:
